My Pledge and Creed as an African Man.

I am an African Man. I believe it is my responsibility to go out there and find a responsible woman responsibly.

As an African, we believe in the sacredness of our tradition that does not contradict the principles of our God, hence I will not steal her(my wife) from her parents by getting her pregnant before the actual marrying. But I will respect the laws of the land and marry my wife the proper way so I can be called a man among my kids and stay blessed by God .

It is my duty to Love my wife and pass no fancy on any other woman. Stay true to my vow to love and behold her alone;in good times and in bad times to love and cherish her until death do us part.

I will provide leadership,succour and safety to her and the lovely children she will bear me. I believe it is my responsibility to provide for her and depend not on her to fend for our family.

I believe it is my responsibility to appreciate,jubilate and celebrate her as the only one who is deserving of all that I have and can offer.

I will love her and her alone as the mother of my children born and unborn. I will stand by her in all things including child bearing and rearing, Defending and assuring her of my support,is a role that falls on me by default,and this role will I play without any fear of contradiction.  As an African. I know and believe I should not be lazy but constantly working hard to give my wife and family the best of everything in the best of my ability.

I am an African man and should not give up hope as in trusting Him(God) that all will be well no matter how hard it may seem today.

I know as a people and an individual serving and believing in the supremacy of God(Creator), I will love her like Christ would love the church. She will remain ever green no matter how long we have to stick together.

The community is an extension of my family, so I will ensure that my part is played by inculcating in them the values that promote a peaceful Co existence and that which support growth and togetherness while striving for excellence in all aspects of life.

The values we uphold as Africans are that which supports extended family relationships, to this end therefore, I will love and support my in-laws in more ways than one.

Above all, I will be a friend, love, father and strength to my wife so help me God.
